I’m a self-taught painter, graphic designer, and illustrator with a lifetime of love for all things art.

I started as an artist doing finger paintings, sand castles, and building things with my dad in his woodshop. My dad, grandma, grandpa, and uncle are all artists. So I always knew I wanted to be an artist, too.

The two that started it all: Grandma Mary and Grandpa Derek.

I grew up in Ely, Minnesota on a lake in the middle of the woods. That’s where I gained my love of nature, wildlife, and all things beautiful. I wanted to recreate that feeling of beauty as much as I could, so I started painting.

Today, I live in Dallas, Texas and enjoy painting, drawing, gardening, and cooking in my free time. I am currently serving as the President of the Muslim Women Artists Collective.
